Mission Statement of The Park Synagogue
As a modern Conservative synagogue, we will provide our members the opportunity to
engage in Jewish learning, practice Jewish values and experience Jewish spirituality
and community, so that our members' lives and the lives of those we touch are enriched.
Rabbi Joshua Skoff has brought interactive services to Park, a place where dialogue and
study occurs during the service itself. Congregants of all ages are involved in services,
both in study and worship, and prayer is not a passive experience. As a result, Sabbath
Morning Service attendance has soared. Programs like Shabbat Club, Youth Shabbat
Service, and an educationally integrated Religious School have been developed or
redefined under Rabbi Skoff's leadership, and participation has steadily grown. Park's
outreach programs have increased and new ones continue to be added. Adult Education
has proliferated, including weekly Bible Study, Talmud Study, Hebrew Language Study,
and Family Education. Feeling comfortable with each other and with Jewish life has
become the hallmark and theme as Park continues its excellence as a religious community.
We have a vibrant and active membership of all ages who find meaning and commitment
to Conservative Judaism at Park Synagogue. Our doors and hearts are always open to our
members and we encourage those of you looking for a spiritual family to consider ours.
